This Privacy Policy explains how melibuilds.io (“melibuilds.io,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses, and deletes information when you use this website, request a conversation, comment on, or send a direct message to our Instagram account @melibuilds.io. melibuilds.io is operated by Zach Melinger. Information we collect

When you request a conversation, we collect the information you submit: your name, email address, business and role, and the recurring work you want to discuss. When you publicly comment on one of our Instagram posts or send a direct message to @melibuilds.io, Meta’s Instagram Platform provides us with your Instagram username and account ID, the content of your comment or message, and when it was sent.

The website also collects limited technical and usage information, such as page views, buttons clicked, sections viewed, approximate device and browser information, and a random visitor identifier. We do not send the text you enter in the conversation form to our analytics events.

How we use your information

  • To reply to your comment and send you, by direct message, the resource or information you asked for.
  • To read what you want to discuss, prepare for the conversation, and help you schedule a time.
  • To respond to your questions and provide customer support.
  • To understand how people use the website and improve its clarity and usefulness.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising to third parties.

Service providers

We use a small number of service providers: PostHog for website analytics, heatmaps, and session replay; Vercel for website hosting and basic analytics; Resend for conversation-request emails; Google Calendar for scheduling; Meta Platforms for Instagram messaging and comments; Airtable for organizing inbound contacts; and Google Workspace for communication and files. These providers process data only to provide their services to us.

PostHog may use cookies or browser storage to connect activity within a visit. When session replay is enabled, form inputs are masked. We use recordings to understand navigation and friction, not to read what you type into the form.

Data retention

We keep the information described above only as long as needed to respond to you and to manage our relationship with you, and we delete it on request as described below.

How to request data deletion

You can ask us to delete the information we hold about you at any time. Email zach@melibuilds.io with the subject “Data deletion request,” or send a direct message to @melibuilds.io on Instagram, and include the Instagram username you used to contact us. We will delete your information from our systems within 30 days and confirm once it is done.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
